Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
Die Empty Music is a Mac app from Die Empty Music LLC. It schedules and uploads short videos to Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts and YouTube channels that the person using the app manages. This policy explains what the app handles and where that information goes.
Information the app handles
- Facebook login access. When you connect with Facebook, Meta gives the app access tokens so it can act on the accounts you approve.
- Google login access. When you connect YouTube, Google gives the app tokens so it can upload videos to the channel you approve and read that channel's name and ID.
- Account details. The names and IDs of your Facebook Pages, linked Instagram accounts and YouTube channels.
- Your posts. The videos, captions, chosen accounts and scheduled times you enter, plus each post's status and link.
The app does not collect your Facebook or Google password. You enter it directly on Facebook's or Google's own login page.
How the information is used
The app uses this information only to connect your accounts, publish the posts you schedule, and show you their status. It does not use it for advertising, and does not sell it.
Where the information is stored
Everything stays on your Mac. Access tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain. Your account list and post queue are kept in the app's folder. A copy of each scheduled video is kept there until it has posted. Die Empty Music LLC does not run a server for the app and does not receive this information. The app contains no analytics or tracking.
Who the information is shared with
The app sends your videos, captions and account requests to Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, so they can be published. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy.
If you connect YouTube, the app sends your videos, captions and account requests to Google through the YouTube API Services so they can be published. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy. By connecting YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Published posts are visible according to your account settings. Nothing is shared with anyone else.
Removing your information
- Disconnect an account: choose Remove next to it on the app's Accounts screen. This deletes its access token from your Mac.
- Remove a post from the queue: choose Remove next to it in the app. This does not delete a post that is already published. You can delete that on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.
- Remove everything from your Mac: delete the app, disconnect your accounts first, and delete the folder Library/Application Support/Die Empty Music in your home folder.
- Cancel the app's access through Facebook: go to Facebook's Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business Integrations, and remove Die Empty Music.
- Cancel the app's access through Google: go to your Google account's third-party connections and remove Die Empty Music.
Because Die Empty Music LLC holds none of this information, there is nothing further for us to delete. You are welcome to contact us with any request.
Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
